The Egli concrete crusher – Maximum power and flexibility for your demolition work

What is the Egli concrete crusher?

The Egli concrete crusher (XMB) is revolutionising the professional demolition of reinforced concrete. What sets this machine apart is its patented continuous cutting geometry. Thanks to this, the demolition grapple crushes the concrete on three sides simultaneously and cleanly cuts through the internal reinforcing bars in a single pass. This process saves a great deal of time on site. Furthermore, the system ensures the clean separation of different materials directly on site, enabling up to 80 per cent of the concrete to be recycled.

Jaw change in under 2 minutes, fully automatic from the cab

On a construction site, time is money. Thanks to the fully hydraulic jaw-change system, the operator can change the demolition grapple’s jaw in around two minutes, safely and comfortably, directly from the excavator’s cab. No manual handling is required within the excavator’s danger zone, and no heavy tools are needed. Simply press a button and the machine is immediately ready for use again.

The right jaw for every job

During demolition work, requirements vary depending on the site, the materials and the structural elements. This is why the Egli concrete crusher can be fitted with different jaws, each of which is suited to specific applications.

  • Bionic jaw: ideal for traditional demolition of reinforced concrete. It breaks the concrete on several sides and cuts through the reinforcement bars directly in a single operation.
  • TriPod jaw: used for very thick walls, it ensures stable positioning during demolition.
  • Steel jaws: with its main blade and counter-blade positioned at the front, it is ideal for working with steel.
  • MultiCut jaw: combines various functions and is suitable for crushing, sorting and cutting reinforcing bars.
  • Pulveriser jaw: used for secondary crushing, whilst preserving the reinforcement and prestressing cables.
  • Pile jaw: used for work on piles, it reduces the risk of cracks or uncontrolled spalling on the pile body.
  • Box-type jaw: fitted with wear parts, blades and interchangeable crushing teeth, it is optimised for the demolition of special concrete; in the case of concrete railway sleepers, it crushes the concrete and the prestressing cables into three pieces in a single operation.

Replacement jaw during maintenance work

Even during maintenance work, the concrete crusher does not necessarily have to be taken out of service. When a jaw is being inspected, serviced or repaired at Gebrüder Egli, a suitable replacement jaw can be fitted for the duration of the maintenance period. This ensures the equipment remains available and site work can continue as planned.
