Our first OQ 120 quick coupler: outstsanding, long-lasting reliability

Genuine Egli quality doesn’t just last a long time: it stays in service. A very special anniversary illustrates just how durable and cost-effective modern construction machinery technology is: our very first OQ 120 quick coupler in the word has been refurbished after more than two decades and is once again fully operational.

In May 2005, we celebrated a real milestone: we fitted the first OQ 120 quick coupler to a CAT 365B owned by Eberhard Bau AG. Our fitter, Michael, was on site in Erstfeld at that time and still remembers the first installation in detail.

After providing reliable service on the CAT 365B, this quick coupler was fitted to a CAT 385C in 2009. Over 20 years of tough daily use on construction sites later, however, this quick coupler’s journey is far from over.

Retrofit 2026: ready for the next 10'000 operating hours

Instead of being taken out of service, we refurbished and refitted the tried-and-tested OQ 120 quick coupler: it has been successfully fitted to a brand-new CAT 395 and is now ready for the next challenges.
