Railway construction machinery training courses - November 2025

Sunny weather for our 2025 railway construction machinery training courses, which were a great success and attended by around 35 people. During two one-day seminars, participants gained valuable in-depth knowledge about railway construction and related excavator attachments. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and share their experience.

The training began with a comprehensive informative presentation in the Egli company attic. The speakers presented the main features and standards relating to auxiliary equipment. After the theoretical part, the participants moved to the adjacent gravel yard, which had been prepared for the practical demonstration. Various auxiliary machines, such as track brush tool, concrete crusher, various milling tools and various excavator attachments, were presented and explained in detail.

In the afternoon, on a test site in Niederstetten, railway construction equipment such as the tamping unit, hydraulic magnet, suction unit, sleeper layer and excavator saw were presented live with a road-rail excavator. The correct use of this equipment was explained to the participants. Special features and important information relating to use and maintenance were also presented in detail. Participants particularly appreciated being able to try out the excavator saw for themselves on site by sawing through a concrete block.

In their comments at the end of the day, participants noted the relevance of the practical explanations provided with great competence. Finally, all participants received a training certificate attesting to the knowledge they had acquired in the field of excavator attachments for railway construction.

Many thanks to everyone involved for their active participation. See you next time!
